Received spam? Help us trace the sender

Have you received a spam email? Annoying – but you can help us take action.

Many customers forward spam to our support inbox. We appreciate that! However, when you forward an email the usual way, we lose vital technical details – like the sender’s IP address. Without that, we can’t trace or block the source.

The solution? Send us the email as a .eml file

This format preserves the full technical headers. That way, we can identify the source and block the sender’s mailbox from sending any more spam.

How to download a .eml file in our Webmail

  1. Open the spam email in your Webmail.
  2. At the top of the screen, click “More”.
  3. In the dropdown menu, select “Download”.
  4. Then choose “Source (.eml)”.
  5. A .eml file will be downloaded to your computer.

What next?

Attach the .eml file to a new email and send it to us at support@combell.nl.

We’ll take care of the rest: we’ll analyze the mail and block the sender so they can’t send more spam.
