He can transfer the domain name from one registrar (provider) to another (transfer). He also manages the name servers of the domain name with which you determine which website appears with the domain name.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ht-block-toc  is-style-outline htoc htoc--position-wide toc-list-style-plain\" data-htoc-state=\"expanded\"><span class=\"htoc__title\"><span class=\"ht_toc_title\">IN THIS ARTICLE<\/span><span class=\"htoc__toggle\"><svg xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" width=\"16\" height=\"16\"><g fill=\"#444\"><path d=\"M15 7H1c-.6 0-1 .4-1 1s.4 1 1 1h14c.6 0 1-.4 1-1s-.4-1-1-1z\"><\/path><path d=\"M15 1H1c-.6 0-1 .4-1 1s.4 1 1 1h14c.6 0 1-.4 1-1s-.4-1-1-1zM15 13H1c-.6 0-1 .4-1 1s.4 1 1 1h14c.6 0 1-.4 1-1s-.4-1-1-1z\"><\/path><\/g><\/svg><\/span><\/span><div class=\"htoc__itemswrap\"><ul class=\"ht_toc_list\"><li class=\"\"><a href=\"#htoc-\">Change the registrant or owner of a domain name<\/a><\/li><li class=\"\"><a href=\"#htoc-change-the-registrant-or-owner-of-a-domain-name\">Changes are free, except in the following situations<\/a><\/li><li class=\"\"><a href=\"#htoc-do-you-need-a-transfer-code-to-change-the-registrant\">Do you need a transfer code to change the registrant?<\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"htoc-\">Change the registrant or owner of a domain name<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Follow these steps in the <\/span><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/my.combell.nl\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">control panel<\/span><\/strong><\/a><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> to check or change the owner of your domain name:&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Go to \u201cMy Products\u201d > \u201cDomain Names\u201d > Click the \u201cManage Domain Name\u201d button to the right of your domain name.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">You will now see an overview including the registrant (owner) of the domain name (see picture).<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">To change the data, click on \u201cRegistrant\u201d in the menu on the left. <\/span><br><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Click on \u201cChange data\u201d to confirm your changes.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.combell.nl\/en\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/change-data-registrant_LI-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"data registrant\" class=\"wp-image-14539\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-alert\">Please note that it may take a while before your data is changed. This depends on the type of extension of your domain name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"htoc-change-the-registrant-or-owner-of-a-domain-name\">Changes are free, except in the following situations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Changing the registrant data is normally free of charge, with two exceptions.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">With some domain names (premium domain names) you cannot change the owner&#8217;s details yourself. If this occurs, you must request it via <\/span><a href=\"mailto:activation@combell.nl\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">activation@combell.nl. <\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">They calculate the possible costs and change your data once you agree.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">With a .BE domain name, changes are free, except for the company name, first name and the name of the owner. If you want to change it, you will be notified that there are costs involved. <\/span><br><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The control panel gives you the necessary feedback if a change is paid for (see screenshot).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.combell.nl\/en\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/change-registrant-information.png\" alt=\"change registrant information\" class=\"wp-image-14540\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"htoc-do-you-need-a-transfer-code-to-change-the-registrant\"><strong>Do you need a transfer code to change the registrant?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Normally, you do not need a transfer code to update the registrant details. However, there are exceptions!<br>For example, when changing the email address for a .be domain name, you will receive an email containing a transfer code.
